This explore was again on one of our many stop mornings! We had already roamed through a few planned sites, as well as a couple unplanned places we found on our drive. Personally I hadn’t done any research on our next destination, yet my UE partner hammered in the GPS coordinates and we headed off. She doesn’t tend to give me a ton of information on some of these places. I think she wants to keep me on my toes!
There are always extra layers of enjoyment to the unknown, unplanned, and unexpected parts of any explore! The excitement continues to build as you pull up to any new site. This site in particular was really fresh, as we hadn’t done any recon in person. We really had no idea of the challenges(if any) with entering this site.
As we drove around the site, we identified a few holes in the fencing that looked promising. We ditched the vehicle a couple blocks down and headed off on foot. As we approached the front of the building, we decided to keep walking. We strolled right past the property to get a good eye on the entire front of the site. Once we were past the site and no cars were around, we doubled back to make our way thru the fence.
Sadly on this visit here, the closest side to us was completely buttoned up! With a recent visit from the “New Screw & Plywood Crew” we would not be gaining entry on that side. While walking back to the side closest to where my vehicle was parked, we peeled off the sidewalk and made a quick shot to the fence. Once through the fence on this side of the building, we were greeted by a huge gaping hole in the wall!
Someone had recently ripped down the large expanse of plywood that once covered a 3 bay window. That hole in the wall would be our entry for the day! What follows would be our first of many times here! We at Decades Of Decay USA have a special place in our hearts for abandoned foundries, and this place would prove to be no different! The way this old decommissioned foundry had been turned into an ever changing urban art gallery blows my mind! The daily sounds of the foundry floor have long been replaced with the rattle from countless spent spray paint cans!

We hope you decide to play along! As is always the case, my pics will be first, then my UE partner’s photos will be shown! There is (like always) a ton of similar pics from both of us. We tend to like the same things! We hope you enjoy! Give our walk-thru a listen!
These next shots will be through my UE partner’s lens and gaze! Even though our shots are similar, she tends to lean a bit more artistic!
